Michael Rivero is the webmaster of http://whatreallyhappened.com/ and host of the What Really Happened radio shows on the Republic Broadcasting Network. Formerly with NASA, Michael transitioned his image processing skills (along with a brief stint as an actor) into the then-new motion picture computer animation field and has worked on films such as "Star Trek", "The Day After Tomorrow", and has supervised visual effects on "Brainscan," "LOST", and "Hawaii Five-0." Michael has taken a sabbatical from film work to focus all his efforts on peace activism. Michaels foray into blogging began before the word was even invented, and happened almost by accident when he spotted a suspicious photograph being broadcast on ABC news in 1994 related to the death of White House deputy Council Vincent Foster. Since that sudden beginning, Michaels website has expanded to cover diverse topics including the JFK assassination, the accidental shoot-down of TWA 800, election fraud, health issues, Saddams non-existent nuclear weapons, 9-11, the economy, and of course, the lies used to trick the United States into wars of conquest on Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran. Michael resides in Hawaii with his wife Claire, who is a composer and creates much of theme music used on the What Really Happened radio show.
8/14/13 - "Something's happening. Something is happening. And it is good. Have faith." That's how Glenn Beck responded to Ashton Kutcher's heartfelt speech on hard work and generosity at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday that has absolutely taken the Internet by storm. After playing the speech on radio, Beck explained why it gave him so much hope.
"What he is saying here is the Glenn Beck Very Encouraged by Viral Ashton Kutcher Speech: 'Something Is Happening' position..." Beck said firmly. "How do we not agree? How is it that the people in the camp of Ashton Kutcher think that I'm the anti-Christ, and so many of us think he's the anti-Christ?"
"Because they don't listen," Beck's co-host Pat Gray said.
Beck said that it is crucial to understand the difference between liberal — which originally meant small government — and progressive. Progressives want "to control other people's lives," and liberals don't, he said.
"We can join on many things on compassion," Beck said. "We can join on Darfur. We can join on, let's help the poor. Now we may not agree on all of the programs — unless, unless you are not a progressive — you are a small government person and saying, 'Let's find the capitalist ways.'"
"Let's find the companies out there that want to take this on as a problem," Beck elaborated. Let's go find the people...Let's go find the churches...Not through government policies. Not through handouts. Not through redistribution of wealth. Let's go help!"
"You'll get everybody on board," Beck asserted, "because we're not that far apart."
Wall St for Main St interviewed Dan Collins, who is the Editor of The China Money Report. In this podcast, we discussed China's economy and if the government is doing more harm than good with credit contraction and trying to manage inflation. Also, we talked about the China real estate market and why most mainstream investors and economists does not understand the real estate market in China. Finally, we discussed the raising demand for gold and silver in China.
Here's what's in your Prime Interest today:
The London Whale has escaped the prosecutorial net! Bruno Iksil-- the JP Morgan Chase trader who earned himself the nickname after a six billion dollar trading loss last year-- is off the fishing hook, so to speak. He reached an agreement with US authorities yesterday. So, it looks like the mainstream media successfully floated his freedom. But now it seems federal authorities have other fish to fry. Today they moved up the food chain, charging Iskil's former boss with wire fraud and a conspiracy to falsify records. The decision not to go after Mr. Iksill may prove important to the case, as it is likely he will be used as a witness for the prosecution. Let's see how far they can swim upstream.
And don't break out your taper hats just yet. A sequester squabble could put a damper on the Fed's plan to wind down QE. According to economists at Bank of America and Barclays, the risk of a government shutdown this October may delay any tapering moves, especially if Fed officials are on the fence. And if you are in Jim Rickard's camp, who believes the Fed will taper in September or never, then QEternity may just become a QReality. Bob talks about the unprecedented expansion in base money with Mike Maloney, founder of GoldSilver.com and creator of the Hidden Secrets of Money.
Plus, billionaire activist investor Carl Ichan is at it again. This time he is snapping up Apples, rather than nutrition supplements. He has taken a large position in the tech company and is pressing for a greater return of cash to shareholders. Ichan's plan is for 150 billion in Apple stock buybacks. However, most of the company's cash is held overseas-- remember that little issue? Looks like Apple's Irish tax scheme might not be so tasty to the dietary supplement King. Perianne profiles the mega-Ichan.
Finally Bob talks to RT Correspondent Meghan Lopez about a recent drone conference -- where no one was actually allowed to say the word "drone."

In communicating his point of view on why 'old' advice - get a good job, save money, get out of debt, invest for the long term, and diversify - is 'bad' (both obsolete and flawed) advice, Robert has earned a reputation for straight talk, irreverence and courage.
Rich Dad Poor Dad ranks as the longest-running bestseller on all four of the lists that report to Publisher's Weekly - The New York Times, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today - and was named "USA Today's #1 Money Book" two years in a row. It is the third longest-running 'how-to' best seller of all time.
Translated into 51 languages and available in 109 countries, the Rich Dad series has sold over 27 million copies worldwide and has dominated best sellers lists across Asia, Australia, South America, Mexico and Europe. In 2005, Robert was inducted into Amazon.com Hall of Fame as one of that bookseller's Top 25 Authors. There are currently 26 books in the Rich Dad series.
In 2006 Robert teamed up with Donald Trump to co-author Why We Want You To Be Rich - Two Men - One Message. It debuted at #1 on The New York Times bestsellers list.
Robert writes a bi-weekly column - 'Why the Rich Are Getting Richer' - for Yahoo! Finance and a monthly column titled 'Rich Returns' for Entrepreneur magazine.
Prior to writing Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert created the educational board game CASHFLOW 101 to teach individuals the financial and investment strategies that his rich dad spent years teaching him. It was those same strategies that allowed Robert to retire at age 47.
Today there are more that 2,100 CASHFLOW Clubs - game groups independent of the Rich Dad Company - in cities throughout the world.

Israeli jets have carried out an airstrike on the Gaza strip - just hours ahead of the much-anticipated resumption of peace talks with the Palestinians. Negotiations have been in dead-lock since 2010. And with Israel recently announcing plans for more than two thousand new settlement homes in the West Bank and East Jerusalem - the already fragile looking talks are under ever-greater pressure.
Egyptian security forces forcefully dispersed protesters loyal to ousted President Mohammed Morsi at protest camps in Cairo early Wednesday. At least 15 people, including some members of the security forces, were reported killed in the clashes. Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Gehad El-Haddad, however, claimed that as many as 600 people had been killed and 5,000 injured in the police operation. RT talks to Hugh Miles who has written extensively about Cairo and the revolutions in the Middle East.
On this Wednesday, August 14 broadcast of the Alex Jones Show, Alex interviews award-winning television reporter and investigative journalist Ben Swann. Alex speaks with Swann about his launch of the crowd source funded "Truth in Media Project" that allowed him to continue production of his show Full Disclosure which he began after leaving Cincinnati's Fox19 in late May. Alex will delve into how the federal government ran a $98 billion deficit last month, but the nation's debt remained unchanged for the 87th straight day. Alex will also discuss the continued eruption of violence throughout Egypt that left 95 dead and more than 200 wounded overnight. Alex also continues to unveil the horrors of Obamacare which has now awarded Planned Parenthood $375,000 to help enroll participants in Obamacare.
http://www.democracynow.org - We go to breaking news in Egypt where security forces have committed a new mass killing of Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators supporting the ousted president, Mohamed Morsi. Dozens of people have been reportedly killed in raids on two pro-Morsi encampments in Cairo. Alastair Beach, Cairo correspondent for The Independent, has been visiting morgues near Rabaa al-Adawiya Square where scores of bodies are reportedly being held. Speaking to us from a hospital where the injured are being treated, Beach says he has personally counted about 83 or 84 bodies today, most of them with gunshot wounds to the head, indicating they have been shot by police snipers.
Former Internet Provider Gagged by National Security Letter Recounts How He Was Silenced For 6 Years
http://www.democracynow.org - We continue our discussion of government surveillance and internet privacy with someone who was under an FBI gag order for six years. In early 2004, Nicholas Merrill, who was running an internet service provider in New York called Calyx, was issued a national security letter that ordered him to hand over detailed private records about some of his customers. Under the law, recipients of the letters are barred from telling anyone about their encounter with the FBI. While Merrill was not the first American to be gagged after receiving a national security letter, he was the first to challenge the FBI's secret tactics. Merrill went to the American Civil Liberties Union, which then filed the first lawsuit challenging the national security letter statute. In the lawsuit, Merrill was simply identified as John Doe. It was only in August 2010, after reaching a settlement with the FBI, that Merrill was able to reveal his identity. "[The case] resulted in the National Security Letter Provision of the PATRIOT Act being ruled unconstitutional twice," Merrill says. "The problem was, though, we were never able to get to the Supreme Court to get a final, binding ruling that would affect the whole country.... The concern about cybersecurity and the concerns about privacy are really two sides of the same coin. There are a lot of really uncontroversial examples in which organizations and people need confidentiality: Medicine is one, journalism is another, human rights organizations is an obvious third. We're trying to make the case that if the right of Americans to encrypt their data and to have private information is taken away, that it's going to have grave, far-reaching effects on many kinds of industries, on our democracy as a whole, and our standing in the world."

Nearly 100 killed as Egyptian forces break up sit-ins CAIRO —
Nearly 100 people were killed in clashes across the country that erupted Wednesday when Egyptian security forces cleared out thousands of people at sit-ins demanding the return of ousted president Mohammed Morsi. The Egyptian Health Ministry says 95 people died and hundreds were injured in the clashes. Egypt's interim president has declared a monthlong state of emergency. In Cairo, smoke spread across the sky from fires smoldering in the streets where two sit-ins were largely abandoned, heaped with charred tent poles and tarps.

Whitley Strieber talked about a high level of recent UFO activity, as well as the potential danger from solar flares. In his new ebook, Solar Flares, he explores what could happen to our society if we were suddenly knocked off the grid by a powerful solar storm. Incidents back in 1923 and 1859 would have knocked out our power grids, he noted. Yet it's not so much that our sun has changed in recent years, it's that we have, as a society, become so highly dependent on electricity and our devices, that a major grid collapse could have catastrophic consequences, he commented. While Europe and Canada have made some efforts to protect their grids, the United States has yet to pass legislation to mandate this.
Strieber discussed a curious geologic feature in North America dating back 15,000 years called the Black Mat, a layer of material composed of ash and plankton skeletons. "Something happened that set this continent on fire...melted the glaciers...and was followed by a flood that stretched all the way from Colorado to the Atlantic Ocean," he said, pondering whether this kind of extinction event was related to solar flares or plasma hitting the planet. He also spoke about, how since the middle of 2011, there have been waves of not only UFO sightings, but high strangeness events like unexplained sounds and booms heard in multiple locations. He shared details of an anomalous aerial object photographed in Washington DC, as well as UFO incidents in South Texas.
Whitley Strieber is the author of over twenty bestselling books, including Communion and Superstorm written with Art Bell. His novels the Grays and 2012: the War for Souls are both being made into films and the Grays is expected to go into production this year. His nonfiction TV series Alien Intent will begin appearing on A&E later this year. Whitley's latest novel, 'Critical Mass', is a thriller about nuclear terrorism.
A solar flare is a sudden brightening observed over the Sun's surface or the solar limb, which is interpreted as a large energy release of up to 6 × 1025 joules of energy (about a sixth of the total energy output of the Sun each second or 160,000,000,000 megatons of TNT equivalent, over 25,000 times more energy than released from the impact of Comet Shoemaker--Levy 9 with Jupiter). They are mainly followed by a colossal coronal mass ejection also known as a CME. The flare ejects clouds of electrons, ions, and atoms through the corona of the sun into space. These clouds typically reach Earth a day or two after the event. The term is also used to refer to similar phenomena in other stars, where the term stellar flare applies.
Solar flares affect all layers of the solar atmosphere (photosphere, chromosphere, and corona), when the plasma medium is heated to tens of millions of kelvins the electrons, protons, and heavier ions are accelerated to near the speed of light. They produce radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum at all wavelengths, from radio waves to gamma rays, although most of the energy is spread over frequencies outside the visual range and for this reason the majority of the flares are not visible to the naked eye and must be observed with special instruments. Flares occur in active regions around sunspots, where intense magnetic fields penetrate the photosphere to link the corona to the solar interior. Flares are powered by the sudden (timescales of minutes to tens of minutes) release of magnetic energy stored in the corona. The same energy releases may produce coronal mass ejections (CME), although the relation between CMEs and flares is still not well established.
X-rays and UV radiation emitted by solar flares can affect Earth's ionosphere and disrupt long-range radio communications. Direct radio emission at decimetric wavelengths may disturb operation of radars and other devices operating at these frequencies.
Solar flares were first observed on the Sun by Richard Christopher Carrington and independently by Richard Hodgson in 1859 as localized visible brightenings of small areas within a sunspot group. Stellar flares have also been observed on a variety of other stars.
The frequency of occurrence of solar flares varies, from several per day when the Sun is particularly "active" to less than one every week when the Sun is "quiet", following the 11-year cycle (the solar cycle). Large flares are less frequent than smaller ones.

It seems like now a days you can't go a day without hearing some type of advertisement about smart technologies such as smart meters, smart appliances, smart cards, smart energy smart homes and smart grid.
Technology and the interne allowed us to advance and has enabled us to connect in ways never before imagined but as time keeps slipping into the future the more and more I see the internet being expanded and used as a systematic tool to spy on populations with integraded smart technologies that will be essentially used to control everything within what is called a 'smart grid'.
The settings protrayed in the famous book written by George Orwell "1984" are coming into our reality, futuristic technological enslavement where big brother has full control of everything and knows all our actions at all times.
A lot of people labelled as conspiracy theorist have warned the general public for years, and as we drift further past 2012 into the future the more it seems that those labelled as conspiracy theoristare becoming correct in some of the things they are trying to warn the public about.
This film examines and explains The Smart Grid and how it will be used with integrated "smart" technologies to spy and control everything. This film will explain how it's all interconnected to an agenda to put fourth from the United Nations years ago known as Agenda 21. [This film will give minor detail on Agenda 21 but enough to give the viewer a better understanding. I encourage everyone to further the investigation and stay tuned for Candian Awareness Network's upcoming film "The Rise of the United Nations Agenda 21".]
